Bryan Armstrong has been in the HVAC/R industry for 10 years as an engineer working directly with OEM's, both AC and Refrigeration, to integrate high efficiency solutions (EEV, BLDC, controls etc.) into their products that save money and energy for the end user.
He follows the BLDC qualification process of testing compressors on the Carel Power+ inverter line for the entire North American market.
Over the past 2 years he has conducted countless trainings and webinars for internal and customers in the Carel USA Knowledge Center.
Bryan is actively involved with corporate relations with technical schools, and has visited several in Pennsylvania. He sits on the advisory board for the HVAC/R program at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster, PA and is a student mentor for this program. They're currently working on a new HVAC/R building for 2018, and are utilizing Perkins Grant money for state of the art commercial refrigeration equipment. He has had several interns and hires which he has mentored and helped develop. This year he won an alumni award for corporate partnership with TSCT.
Additionally, he's the Carel official rep for AHRI, working heavily on the advocacy side and follows DOE/EPA regulations very closely. Bryan is also an ASHRAE member.
Lastly, he is finishing his BA in Energy and Sustainability Policy through Penn State University, and has a personal passion for combating climate change through educational development of the HVAC/R industry, improved equipment efficiencies and smarter buildings!
