Carlos Urquidi, B.S., M.S., is an HVACR instructor at Cypress College in Cypress, California.
Carlos' formal education includes: Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles.
He started his professional career as a Design Engineer for various engineering firms. During employment as an engineer, he enjoyed training entry-level engineers and felt a strong desire to train people. This desire led him to seek an educational career and eventually to a position at Cypress College, first as an adjunct faculty member in Spring 2008, then as a full time instructor fall 2008.
He is the curriculum representative for the Career Technical Education Division and the faculty advisor for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers student branch, which he founded at Cypress College in Fall 2009.
