Sure Reading, Riting, and Rithmatic are important, but Refrigeration is the next step for aspiring HVAC

students and techs. Not only does it help them better understand A/C, but it opens up numerous possibilities

for personal advancement and increased business for their companies. As instructors, we should learn more

about all aspects of HVACR and make it available to our students.

Modern R-22 System Service: the Age of Alternatives

refrigerants are developed and numbered, alternative refrigerants, why refrigerants cannot be mixed, proper

charging procedures and refrigerant safety.

Using Liquid Refrigerant to Move Heat in Place of an Air Side Economizer

Management of heat in the commercial industry has changed significantly over the past several years. This

breakout session will address these changes and the need to educate the workforce on methods to provide

cooling using refrigerant, even during the compressor off-cycle to reduce energy cost.
