Educator Credentialing and Green Mechanical Council Exams

To enable instructors to verify the depth of their knowledge and ability to relate subject matter
effectively, HVAC Excellence developed specialized educator credentialing exams. This session
provides attendees the opportunity to take the HVAC Excellence HVACR educator credentialing
exams free of charge leading to the Certified Master HVAC Educator (CMHE) credential.
Utilizing the Digital Age to Teach a Technical Curriculum

Learn how to use today’s methods, tools, and techniques to teach a technical curriculum. Mr.
Chandlee will show attendees how to create engaging PowerPoints, use digital technologies,
expand their use of online materials and how to use interactive software in the classroom.
The Technician’s Involvement in HVAC Energy Management

This session will look at the HVAC technician's role in the field from two perspectives, each with
a real world example: 1) How the typical lack of training of facilities maintenance and HVAC
personnel can be a detriment to a project’s success, in both ways of comfort and energy
efficiency. 2) How a technician's insight and experience gained from being in the field can lead
to project success.
Energy Audit - Envelope Testing

This session will cover the latest building code requirements for testing the building envelope in
both new construction and retrofit. During this session Frank will discuss how to perform a
building envelope test and what the numbers mean.
Basic Residential Indoor Air Quality

This session will cover the three basic categories that can cause poor indoor air quality as
defined by the EPA: particulate, gases, and germs. An overview of the following methods will be
discussed: particulate removal systems, ventilation, and UVC germicidal lamps. Additionally, Mr.
Begoske will cover: ozone, photo catalytic oxidation systems and how they work as well as
ionizers.
