HVAC Excellence was established in 1994 to improve the technical competency of the HVACR industry through validation of the technical education process. By setting program standards and verifying that they have been met, we can meet the challenges facing our industry by continuous improvement in the way that we prepare technicians. To accomplish this, we offer the following programs.
H.E.A.T. is an end-of-program high school assessment that provides instructors with the information needed to evaluate the efficacy of their high school HVACR program.
Employment Ready Certifications are a series of discipline-specific, end-ofcourse exams intended to validate that a person has retained knowledge in a specific area necessary for employment in the HVACR industry.
Technicians with two or more years of documented field experience may opt to take challenging, written certification exams that help validate their knowledge in discipline-specific areas.
Master Specialist is the highest credential conferred upon a field technician. This credential shows those in the industry that these special technicians are among the best-of-the-best.
To enable HVACR educators to verify the depth of their knowledge and their ability to relate subject matter effectively, they can take specialized educator credentialing exams.
In 1999, HVAC Excellence established the national standards for HVACR Educational programs and began the process of programmatic accreditation for the HVACR industry.
The ESCO Group collectively sponsors the National Educators and Trainers Conference which offers professional development to educators and trainers in the HVACR Industry.
