Accreditation Team Leaders

The accreditation visiting team consist of two members. One with years of experience as an HVACR

instructor, the other with years of experience as a school administrator. They are seasoned professionals

that possess the knowledge, training and experience to successfully evaluate every aspect of an HVACR

program.

James Crisp, Ph.D.

Dr. Crisp has been involved in career and

technical education at the secondary, post

-secondary and state agency level for over

30 years. He received his B.S. and

Master’s degree in Trade and Industrial

Education at Georgia Southern University

and his PhD in Vocational Leadership from Georgia

State University. His teaching experience at the

secondary level includes classroom instructor for

Construction Trades, Industrial Arts, and Industrial

Technology. In addition, Dr. Crisp has administrative

experience as an Instructional Coordinator at Heart

of Georgia Technical College, Director of Institutional

Effectiveness at Griffin Technical College and State

Coordinator for Educational Programs while

employed by the Technical College System of

Georgia.

Bruce Nelson, M.Ed., CMHE

Bruce Nelson has been in the HVACR

industry for nearly forty years. His

credentials include: Field Technician

(residential, multi-family, commercial),

Foreman, HVACR instructor with the

Tennessee College of Applied

Technology (26 years). Bruce holds a Masters in

Technical Education and is a Certified Master

HVACR Educator.

Steven H. Allen, M.A., LEED AP

Steven H. Allen has over 40 years of

experience in the HVACR industry. He

has worked as a HVACR Service

Technician (New York, New Jersey),

HVACR Instructor (New Jersey), HVACR

Curriculum Writer (Washington DC, South

Carolina, Michigan), School Administrator (New

Jersey), State Director of HVACR Apprenticeship

(New Jersey), Executive Director of the Green

Mechanical Council, and Director of Sustainable

Technology for the United Association of

Journeymen and Apprentices of the United States

and Canada. Steve has a Masters Degree in

Education with a Certificate in Instructional

Technology.

Lemuel Palmer, CSME

Lem Palmer has over forty years of

experience in the HVACR industry. He

spent the last thirty years as a professor of

HVACR, the last fifteen at Bowling Green

Technical College. He served for eight

years on the Kentucky State HVAC

Curriculum Committee and five years on the

Curriculum Review Committee at Bowling Green

Technical College. He served as Chairman of the

Program Standards for COE (Council on Post

Secondary Education). Lem is a Certified Subject

Matter Educator.

Randy Petit, Sr., CMHE

Randy has over 30 years of experience in

the HVACR industry. He spent twenty three

years in HVACR Education with the

Louisiana Technical College System as a

teacher and Program Chair for Technology

Programs. He was instrumental in

establishing the first successful incumbent worker

HVAC training program through Louisiana workforce

development and the Department of Labor. He is a

Certified Master HVAC Educator.

Eugene Silberstein, M.S., B.E.A.P.,

CMHE

Eugene Silberstein has over 30 years of

experience in the HVACR industry

including 20 in education at public and

private colleges. His credentials include a

Master of Science in Energy and

Environmental Science, dual Bachelorette degrees,

Certified Master HVACR Educator "CMHE", and

Building Energy Assessment Professional "BEAP".

He has worked as a field technician, system

designer, teacher, administrator, consultant and

author.
